Does anyone know, are there different types of sign language similar to the different languages spoken in the world today? (Quirky thing related to a honorable mention character from Summer's Boys who is trying to get his own story line.)

Excellent! Then if I ever write Wildfire at age eighteen, I can make the crack that he learned Russian Sign Language to fulfill his foriegn language requirement. (He has selective mutism and uses ASL as a means of communication.)
