Huntress Help
Huntress i.e. my Dean-has-a-twin-sister series needs help. I have a plot bunny about the series that JUST WON'T GO AWAY. I've tried telling it no. I've tried ignoring it. I've tried to give it away even but it keeps coming back.
This tells me that I should probably seriously consider using the bunny because it further seperates the Huntress series from canon.
In part, the bunny was inspired by you, StarAndrea! Your Sky 'Verse Michael!Dean is a favorite of mine, and while I could never write your Dean, you made me think of this.
The problem is this, Dean's twin sister is Anna Campbell (and the reason she's a Campbell and not a Winchester is a story for a later day). There is a Supernatural character named Anna that people should be very familiar with: Anna Milton.
Or rather, Anael.
FYI: I don't know if you'd consider this a spoiler given that I don't know if I'm going to go with this bunny or not, however I will say that this could be a spoiler in the future, so if you want to be surprised by the Huntress stories and not have a hand in deciding on the bunny, don't read. There is nothing here that is actual Huntress headcanon spolier, so you should be safe if you're curious.
Now my plot bunny is this:
There is no Anna Milton/Anael in the Huntress verse. But there is Anna Campbell, Dean's twin sister. What if there was Michael!Dean and his twin Anael!Anna Campbell?
The back story is this: Anael didn't understand God's final command, to care for humanity, because she didn't understand humanity and she wanted to but was afraid. Michael had seen signs that the Apocalypse was coming and he didn't want to kill Lucifer, but as long as he was present in Heaven, he would be expected to fight. Not to mention God wasn't talking to any of the angels, much less the archangels, and it was affecting the archangels. Gabriel had vanished, fed up with God's silence and his brothers and sisters spiraling chaos. Raphael had become didatic, ignoring anything that didn't affect him or his garrison, and acting on the last spoken orders of God without understanding them. Zachriel had started calling himself Zachariah after his vessel and had discovered the art of manipulation using humans as test subjects.
Michael wanted to follow Gabriel's example, to just slip away and do what he wanted, but God's word bound him more than others, to care for humanity.
The idea for them to fall was Anael's. She wanted out of heaven and away from Zachriel and Raphael's version of obedience, but to do so would mean they would have to fall and be hunted. Michael was the one who pointed out that only losing their grace would enable them to pass. Seeing the growing rigedity and chaos, both Archangels agreed that it was probably worth it to fall. Their next concern was to do so together or apart. Together, they could protect each other but apart, they would be harder to find. Besides, neither of them could garuntee that if they grew up human that they would remain together.
Finally, they decided to fall. Clinging to each other tightly, they fell, ripping their grace out and letting fate take them where it would.
And in Lawrence, Kansas, despite all the 'modern' contraceptives she'd tried, Mary Winchester became pregnant with twins.
I have back story, I have the plot twist, I just don't know where it ends...but I think I'd like to find out. There's a vague idea regarded Sam, Lucifer and lost Grace but I haven't chased that bunny yet. I might though.
So, there's the delimma. Any thoughts, or am I going to have to invest in the heavy duty bunny killer?
