Idle Thoughts
I think the first thing I need to do is issue a spoiler alert, because I'm writing about Summer's Boys and the Rainbow Brotherhood. So, SPOILER ALERT.
I have come to the conclusion that I can link SB and RB together via the Star Trek 'reboot' theory. People from the future, even if they do nothing, change the future for more people than can be imagined. In SB/RB, however, it is not visitors from the future, but the past. Dustin, Hunter, Cam, Conner, Kira and Ethan are brought to the future after Cam attempts to revitalize their morphers as part of their no SPD campaign.
This is the SB story line, they show up after the big issue and incidentally help things along while trying to get home. They learn that while they are considered dead in the future 'verse, their teammates, some of them, still live. These are the ones who convince them that SPD, and the plot hatched by the Silvers, must succeed. Also, Dr K tells them about her childhood in private and the two teams vow to find and protect her from AS. Their return to the past is part accident, in that Cam and Dr K manage to recreate the power flows at the time of their morph and they are sent back.
In RB, they have vanished entirely and come back with their story and their support for the Silvers. They rescue Doc K from AS and prove their story about time travel. This is a side plot to MtW.
This is what is going on in my thoughts. I just posted them so I can go back and ask myself what the hell was I thinking?
