Feb. 4th, 2012 01:50 amYou know you've spent more time working on headcanon than real canon when someone asks about an OTP and you realize that while you're almost positive the character will arrive on scene next season, she hasn't yet, and all you're doing is writing an OC.
Seriously.
I've been writing a sort of future au fic for Power Rangers Samurai based on the thought that Shinkenger, the Sentai Series, brings in a Lady Red towards the end/middle of the season. My PRS Fic, A Bend In The Road, has that Lady Red as an OC named Mikayla, because Samurai doesn't show her just yet. The PR forum I lurk around was asking who your cross seasonal ships were and I've somewhat seriously considered eventually shipping Shane/Mikyala and I had actually opened a reply box to post that before I realized that Mikayla is my OC, and not actually based on a canon character, YET.
I also don't know what I'm going to do when PRS starts up and they bring in *their* Lady Red. If her name is Mikayla, I am going to take ALL the credit.
