Day 6: 12,380

I'm so glad that my story is going so well. My strategy of writing my word count as new stuff and then editing at need is working for me. Although last night I had a five second urge to change Dom from a Marine to a Coastie, but I decided against it. I think I might make my NaNo novel about a Coastie though. I'll have hacked out a couple of Highband Mysteries by then.

I need to do some more research for my characters though. A few questions about Marines, but also some about adreneline and pain in regards to knee replacement and leg injuries.

I intend to space out my medical research over the course of the novel and when I'm done maybe go ask the local recruiter if he could answer a few questions if I can't answer them somewhere else.
